Why should we hire you?

For an entry level engineering position, I realize that there are many likely other candidates who also have the ability to do the job. However, I will bring in an additional quality that will differentiate me from others, and that is my passion for excellence. When I do something, I want to do it such a way that I feel a sense of accomplishment after I finish it. And I will feel that sense of accomplishment only if

  •  I can meet the objectives and expectations set (by me or my professor or my boss) at the beginning.
  •  I can produce a ‘quality’ work.

For example, Dr. Haitham Abu-Rub suggested me to do an undergraduate research project on application of solar and wind power in Doha shortly before my graduation from A&M. Doing that research would have earned me 4000 USD, which is a huge sum. This money is given by Qatar National Research Fund. I know many students who sign up to do such research project just for the sake of money and consequently do a cursory work. I could have done the same too. But I declined because I did not want to compromise my commitment for excellence. After doing my senior year design, I was drained out, and I knew that I was not in the frame of mind to produce a top quality work.
